With 5 stars on TripAdvisor if you are looking for a great breakfast/brunch spot to hang with friends or take family when they visit, then this should definitely be on your list.
Their story:
“The Refectory Kitchen story began in 2003, when brothers Dan and Graham took on a sandwich shop in the heart of St Dunstans Canterbury.
With a family history steeped in food, Dan and Graham developed a sandwich shop that was known for it’s fresh homemade fillings, daily baked cakes and handmade quiches and pies.
After 9 years, they decided to turn The Refectory sandwich shop into The Refectory Kitchen and in doing so created a restaurant that has stuck by their homemade & locally sourced roots and become the best brunch restaurant in Canterbury and beyond.”
They have a great menu choice with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat to cater for all. With prices ranging from £3.95 to £14.95 it is friendly for the student budget too!
They have great reviews on TripAdvisor:
“The decor is beautifully clean and well appointed and had the most wonderful breakfast. I would absolutely recommend it if you are visiting Canterbury and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.” – Jessical Napolitano
“ Most important, though, the food was excellent. There was nothing on the breakfast menu we didn’t fancy, not least because there were so many imaginative and creative ideas. A great experience.” – Stuart S
“Had a fantastic breakfast here. Had extra hash brown which was delicious and the grill up. All cooked perfectly and very high-quality ingredients. Also had a very nice chai latte. I researched best breakfast in Canterbury and this came up – we agreed it could not have been better.” – Zoe B
