University Mental Health Day: Prioritising Student Wellbeing at Neo Students

University Mental Health Day is this Thursday, 13th March 2025, and it’s an important reminder to make student mental health a priority. Organised by Student Minds and UMHAN, this annual campaign encourages universities, students, and staff to come together to raise awareness and support student wellbeing.

Mental health challenges are a reality for many students, with research from Student Minds (2023) revealing that:

  • 1 in 4 students have a diagnosed mental health issue.
  • 30% say their mental health has worsened since starting university.
  • 1 in 4 students wouldn’t know where to seek support at university if they needed it.

University Mental Health Day is more than just a hashtag—it’s a movement. It’s about taking real action to ensure students can access the help they need and feel supported throughout their university journey.
